Jennifer specializes in developing and implementing strategic messaging campaigns, including social media strategies. In her current position, Jennifer helps clients generate earned media attention by creating creating smarter and more effective alternatives to costly advertising campaigns. Her “SMART” strategy for measurable metrics is helping organizations create tactical social media outreach that work. In her work with law firms, associations, and non-profit organizations, Jennifer has helped organization leaders appreciate and harness the power of social media campaigns. Jennifer earned a BA in Communications—Journalism from Truman State University and a JD from the University of Missouri. She serves on the board of the Washington Women in Public Relations, and is actively involved with Law Firm Media Professionals, the Legal Marketing Association, and the Public Relations Society of America.
Barbara Jackson has over twenty five years of management and consulting experience leading organizations – and the people that work in them – through rapid turnarounds and change. Now the CEO and Founder of 3 Step Networks, a social media branded networking solution, Barbara has been a pioneer in the field of virtual interactions. Her firm provides branded social media networks that extend organizational brand and leverage organizational influence for the benefit of individual members. Barbara has a BA from Providence College and a Masters in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Government at Syracuse University.
In her current position, Rabiya works with organizations to develop social media strategies and campaigns. As the social media strategist for the BIC, she has successfully managed to create a brand for the nonprofit in the online community, leverage social media tools for sponsorships, strategic partnerships and grow clientèle base. She has been invited to be a speaker at the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Mt. Vernon Chamber of Commerce on Social Media. She has also been interviewed by CNN Headline News, Cox Local Edition as a result of her social media campaign success. Rabiya has a BA from University of Maryland in Economics and a Citation in Entrepreneurship.
John is a business attorney with four decades of experience, representing both nonprofit and commercial clients and universities. He has recently presented the legal issues involved with Social Media to several business and nonprofit organizations, including the Community Business Partnership/Women`s Business Center and the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. He has been President of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, serves on its Board of Directors, and is involved with the Community Business Partnership of the Women`s Business Center of Northern Virginia. He was recently appointed to the Fairfax County Small Business Commission, and was past President of the Springfield Golf & Country Club. John earned his JD from Fordham University and his BSBA from Georgetown University.

By Metro: The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is located on the Metro Red Line at the Dupont Circle Stop. It is within a 5 minute walk from the Metro Station to the meeting venue. As you exit the station you will be at Q Street, NW and Connecticut Avenue, NW. Turn right on Connecticut and cross into the Circle. Exit the Circle on Massachusetts Avenue, NW and the Carnegie Endowment will be approximately 2 blocks down on the left.
By Train: If you are traveling by train, you will arrive at Union Station where you have two options to continue. You can take a taxi for the approximate cost of $15 or you can take the Metro Red Line to the Dupont Circle Stop. As you exit the station you will be at Q Street, NW and Connecticut Avenue, NW. From North, I-95 Take Interstate 95 south to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) towards Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Once on I-495, take exit 33, Connecticut Avenue. You will head south on Connecticut Avenue. Stay on Connecticut Avenue until you come to Dupont Circle. Enter the Circle and take the Massachusetts Avenue Exit. The venue will be approximately 1 block down on your left. From Northwest, I-270 Take Interstate 270 to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) towards Silver Spring. Once on I-495, take exit 33, Connecticut Avenue. You will head south on Connecticut Avenue. Stay on Connecticut Avenue until you come to Dupont Circle. From West, I-66/Rt. 50 Interstate 66 and Route 50 both connect with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Take I-66/Rt. 50 towards Washington DC. Go across the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
