Timm has been working with volunteer groups and managing teams for more than 20 years. As President and Chair of Skagit Prevention Council, Timm leads community volunteer leaders to support county-wide prevention programs. Previously, as Project Director at Altair Research, Timm was responsible for extensive work in training and leading volunteer groups in non-profit events for large single-event functions and bringing together teams to move cohesively through campaigns both large and small. As Senior Pastor at LIFE Fellowship he is responsible for all facets of managing the volunteer core of a growing church organization. Timm currently serves as President or Chair for Skagit County Substance Abuse Advisory Board, Skagit prevention Council, and the Burlington Healthy Community Coalition. He earned BA in Theology from Seattle Bible and a AA in Communications from The Bailie School.
Kathleen has been involved in volunteer management for 15 years. In her current position, she is responsible for recruitment, screening, training, support, supervision, and appreciation of 500+ volunteers throughout Seattle Art Museum. She trains and supports staff in effective volunteer management of volunteers and interns who serve in Education, Customer Service, Artistic and Administrative Support roles across three sites. Previously, as Volunteer Development Director at Camp Fire USA, Kathleen was responsible for recruitment, screening, training, support and appreciation for 350-650 volunteers annually. The majority of these volunteers were engaged in direct service activities with youth in grades K-12 in the Seattle metropolitan area. Before that, she worked as Volunteer Coordinator at SUCCESS Program of Youth Eastside Services where she was responsible for recruiting, screening, training and supporting volunteer mentors to at-risk youth, in partnership with public schools and social services. Kathleen currently serves as Programs Chair for Volunteer Administrators Network. She earned BA in Art History from Lewis and Clark College and MFA in Costume Design from DePaul University. She is a member of AAMV (American Association for Museum Volunteers) Puget Sound Museum Volunteers Roundtable VAN (Volunteer Administrators Network) University Lions Club. She is currently pursuing certification in Human Resource Management.
Leo has 25 years of non-profit social enterprise leadership experience developing and executing cause-marketing relationships, business-education partnerships and volunteerism programs with Fortune 500 companies, chambers of commerce, service clubs and school systems. In his current position, Leo has has helped develop and implement a volunteer-based delivery model for CHOICES that has served more than 6 million teens in three countries since 1985. This academic year, CHOICES will engage 1,400 volunteers in 183 locations in 38 states to donate 8,890 volunteer hours and serve 132,210 middle and high school students. Leo is a member of the Nordstrom Scholarship Selection Committee and a judge for the Seattle Pacific University Social Venture Plan Competition. He is a board member of the Children’s Music Foundation and has served on the Board of the Washington Association of Partners in Education, the National Alliance of Business Task Force on Teacher Quality, the Washington State Partnership for Family Involvement in Education, and the Alliance for Education School-To-Work Community Planning Group. Leo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Seattle Pacific University.
Elizabeth has been a Junior League member for over 14 years and a senior leader with The Junior League of Seattle for 5 years. As President, she is responsible for leading the 1,300 member organization of women who devote over 60,000 volunteer hours annually to the Seattle community. Previously, as President-Elect of The Junior League of Seattle, Elizabeth was responsible for the operations of JLS which includes the Fund Raising, Community Impact, Communications and Training & Membership divisions. Before that, a few of her volunteer positions included service as a Board of Director, Operations Board Manager, Community Projects Director and numerous fund development and community project chair positions. In addition to her duties as JLS President, Elizabeth also manages Haggle.com, a start up eCommerce platform for Infospace, Inc. in Bellevue. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Rhetoric from the University of California at Davis.

Our unique one-on-one mentoring sessions offer you the opportunity to sit down with an experienced fundraising professional for 30 minutes to discuss any questions that are specific to your organization. Mentoring sessions cover the same topics as the seminars, and we will assign you a mentor based on his/her availability at your requested times.
