Working at various nonprofit organizations, Diana DeJesus-Medina has guided the recruitment and management of volunteers in scores of communities nationwide for projects ranging from fundraising to client services. Through conferences and onsite assistance, Diana has helped build volunteer forces from corporate, faith, community, education and service backgrounds to provide meals, tutoring, childcare, legal advice, financial services and other critical services for low-income and homeless families and individuals. Diana started as a volunteer grantwriter while earning a B.A. in English at Brooklyn College. She currently works for a national nonprofit that mobilizes 125,000 volunteers to provide shelter and comprehensive services to homeless families with children. In that role she leads both paid and volunteer staff and board members in service delivery and turnkey training to build additional volunteers resources. Diana, supports and has personally volunteered with organizations focusing on education, women`s issues and animal welfare.
Gayle has been overseeing and working with volunteers for the past 10 years. She is the Vice President of a New York based education nonprofit that builds and supports customized relationships between private sector leaders and public school principals to inspire innovation and transform public schools. In this capacity, Gayle oversees the strategic direction of the organization’s programmatic development, methodology, and relationship management of its nearly 1,000 private sector volunteers and public school principals who work together with her company. Gayle’s career in education began as a corps member with the Teach For America program in 1992. When she relocated to New York City, Gayle joined the Public Affairs department at Vivendi Universal. While there she worked with a variety of nonprofits to identify community involvement opportunities for employees. Gayle holds a BA from the University of Connecticut, and an MA in Education from California State University.

Our unique one-on-one mentoring sessions offer you the opportunity to sit down with an experienced fundraising professional for 30 minutes to discuss any questions that are specific to your organization. Mentoring sessions cover the same topics as the seminars, and we will assign you a mentor based on his/her availability at your requested times.
