John`s entire 36-year career has consisted of nonprofit/public interest work. Through Corwin Consulting, LLC, he serves as interim CEO for U.S. nonprofits undergoing leadership transition. He recently completed his seventh engagement, at Reach Out and Read in Boston. Earlier, he was The Glaucoma Foundation’s Executive Director. He practiced law at The Legal Aid Society; the Center for Constitutional Rights; and the New York State Attorney General’s office, as Consumer Frauds Bureau Chief. He served four years on the Greater New York AFP Board, and holds membership in the AFP, the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, BoardSource, New York Technical Assistance Providers, and Governance Matters. He graduated from M.I.T. and Harvard Law School.
Margaret Miller has over 20 years of progressive expertise in Knowledge Management, Human Resources, and Organization Development in higher education, a museum, managed healthcare, manufacturing, sales technology, and multiple retail organizations. Ms. Miller serves as the Director of Human Resources & Organization Development for the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA). She has been partnering with senior leadership to design, implement, and evaluate an integrated change strategy. This work has begun to result in organizational change and increased institutional strengths, including developing and implementing: shared planning, compensation & benefits process, colleague motivation and green teams, interactive meetings and workshops, onboarding, new leader and team transition, interviewing & selection, and compliance with workplace laws. Margaret holds a BA from McDaniel College and a MSOD from American University/NTL. She is a member of ASTD, ODNetwork, CBODNetwork, and SHRM and co-facilitates an art museum HR&OD special interest group.
Anne Sherman is Associate Director of the nonprofit practice at TCC Group, a consulting firm that works with nonprofits, foundations, and corporate community investment programs. In her ten years at the firm, Anne has worked with dozens of nonprofits to help guide them through change processes. Her expertise lies in organizational assessment, strategic planning, and evaluation and the use of these tools to implement successful change processes. She currently sits on the board of the SCO Family of Services and chairs the Governing Body of the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota Hubert H. Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs and is a graduate of Haverford College
