Obtaining money from the corporate sector can be tricky, and sometimes the only way to understand how it is done is to see successful partnerships at work. In this session, you'll closely examine three case studies to get real life feedback on how winning corporate-nonprofit relationships actually work. We will look at the following:

- Multi-year corporate grant case study

Speakers for this session:

Wendy Bromley Bodden
Media and Marketing Communications Strategist and Executive Producer

WENDY is a consultative marketing and corporate sponsorship professional with over 23 years experience developing and leveraging strategic partnerships, primarily within the PBS and IMAX industries, securing over $35 million in funding over her career. She has forged alliances between companies like Ford, J&J, Toyota, Canon and Siemens, and award-winning programs including Nature, Great Performances, and Charlie Rose. She secured a major partnership with IMAX film and science education initiative, Wired to Win, and Ortho-McNeil Neurologics. Current projects include a multi-media initiative on genetics; a multi-media, ecological oratorio; and a PBS based initiative on sustainable food. Wendy serves on the Executive Team of Images and Voices of Hope; Advisory Board of the Ocean Research and Conservation Association; Norwalk Film Advisory Commission. She holds a B.S. in English and studied for an M.F.A in Theatre at Ohio State University. She received a Certificate in Appreciative Inquiry from Weatherhead School of Management.

Heather Keyes
Campaign Development Manager
Community Health Charities of New York

As the Campaign Development Manager for Community Health Charities of New York, Heather works to increase charitable giving in the workplace to 50 health charities active in NY State. She represents these charities in existing public- and private-sector campaigns, and she works to open new corporate campaigns. Prior to holding this position, Heather worked in grants management at Columbia University Medical Center. Her professional experience also includes work as a Research Analyst for IDC CEMA; conducting biomedical research on HIV-Leishmania co-infection at the Institute of Biochemistry and Hygiene in Berlin, Germany; working as the Russia Campaign Coordinator for Amnesty International-Czech Republic; and serving as a US Peace Corps Health Volunteer in rural Turkmenistan. She holds an MS in International Health from Charite Medical School in Berlin; an honors degree in Public Policy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa; and a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Noreen Springstead
Director of Fundraising and Marketing
WHY

In her current position, Noreen shapes WHY`s marketing strategies and has established successful philanthropic partnerships with Hard Rock International, ASCAP, Sony BMG, The Orchard, Ticketmaster, RightsFlow, CBS Radio Group, and others. As part of WHY`s signature program Artists Against Hunger & Poverty, she has built long-term relationships with notable artists, their managers, and record labels resulting in millions of dollars in aid to WHY and local charities that make up its grassroots network. The majority of Noreen`s career, which began in 1992, has focused on the delivery of program services to help the poor and hungry. For many years her main focus and area of expertise was to support and replicate grassroots solutions focused on self-reliance and empowerment. Noreen has worked with Congress to develop social policy, and she has negotiated and secured contracts from the federal government. Noreen received her BA from Rutgers College New Brunswick, NJ.
