Adam has been involved in program evaluations for ten years. In his current position as a consultant, he works with non-profit educational, cultural, and social service organizations to develop measurable, outcomes-based strategic plans. In particular, he focuses on cost-effective ways for organizations with significant budgetary constraints to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data internally, in order to evaluate performance and make the best case for effectiveness to constituents and prospective funders. Adam was previously Executive Director of The Curriculum Initiative where he implemented the organization's first data collection and evaluation process, tracking students, teachers, and supplementary programs at over 65 high schools around the country. Adam earned an MSW from Columbia University and an MA in Jewish Studies from The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is a member of The National Women's Studies Association and the Network for Research in Jewish Education, and is a doctoral candidate at the Steinhardt School at NYU.
Anne has over 30 years of experience as a teacher, evaluator and manager of volunteer and adult education programs. Throughout her career, she has worked to weave evaluation into the everyday operations of the organizations she has served, and to make evaluation accessible and meaningful to all stakeholders. In her current job as Program Officer, she performs grant-seeker evaluations and assists in evaluating grantees goals and the Foundation’s strategic goals. She has developed a variety of on-line tools and report forms to collect data, to determine grantees interests and needs for capacity building and evaluate the work of the Foundation. She currently belongs to the Association of Small Foundations Impact Working Group and the New York State After School Network Quality Assurance Committee. In her jobs as Assistant Director of Education at Literacy Partners and Director of Evaluation and Special Projects for the Literacy Assistance (LAC), she managed the evaluation of quality and effectiveness of the services and projects. She has published articles in the areas of evaluation, adult and youth literacy and professional development.
Lisette has been involved in program evaluations and assessments for ten years. In her current position, she is responsible for coaching executive directors in thinking through program strategy as well as helping link management goals to programmatic outcomes. Most recently, Lisette served as the founding Executive Director of the workforce and education program - Year Up NY. In this position, she was responsible for providing feedback on systems that were created to track programmatic outcomes. She is the Vice-Chair of New York City’s Panel for Education Policy, a trustee of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System, member of the Year Up National Board and a member of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton Advisory Council. Most recently Lisette received a federal commission appointment to the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics. She was a Rhodes Scholar and a Truman Scholar.
Robin has been involved in program evaluation for 21 years. In her current position, she manages a non-profit business improvement district. In that role she evaluates the impact of events on businesses in the area, as well as the economic impact of other BID and government programs. Previously, as Co-course Designer/Professor at Rutgers University/Newark's online program for certification of Managers of Managed Business Districts, Robin was responsible overall course design that included a full module on program evaluation, and on-line teaching. As Vice President of Brystra Consultants she also previously led projects that evaluated government programs for economic/business development, human resource development, and science/industry development. She has also authored journal articles on program evaluation, Throughout her work, her overall approach to program evaluation has been to assess program or organizational goals and to identify data (both quantitative and qualitative) that provide evidence of whether or not those goals are being met. Robin is President of The NJ Managed Districts Association, and Chair of the Rutherford, NJ Economic Development Committee. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in political science/science policy from MIT and her B.A. in political science from Boston University.
