Winning a grant isn’t easy, and many people are intimidated by the process of writing a proposal. Most of the difficulty comes from not knowing what an effective proposal should look like.
 
This session will cover the following topics:
  • What to include in a grant application
  • Writing techniques that make your proposal stand out from the pile
  • Layout and design of a strong proposal
  • Customising a proposal to match the criteria of a grant-awarding body, and using your proposal as a relationship-building tool
You’ll go back to the office with a well-honed plan for writing proposals that giv you the very best chance of securing funds.

Gerry has worked in the Voluntary Sector, principally in Fundraising, for more than 25 years. A Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising, he has worked with a great many charities of all shapes and sizes, helping them to achieve sustainability. In partnership with Carl Chapman he runs 26-01 CIC as a provider of consultancy and fundraising services to Charities and Social Enterprises. Gerry`s particular expertise covers the range of Social Welfare endeavour in the Sector, with particular emphasis on Revenue Fundraising
