Chris Norman has more than two decades of annual fund experience in politics, arts, health care, k-12 and higher education. In his current role as Director of the Wittenberg fund he oversees the annual fund which includes direct mail, online giving, phonathon and athletics fundraising. Chris is part of the team which conceived and executed the CASE Gold Award winning Witt Nation alumni engagement effort featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education. He authored and orchestrated the segmented messaging for the "Ministry of Talent" annual campaign for Wittenberg-yielding the highest response rate in the university`s history. Those efforts have helped Wittenberg Fund raise in excess of $6M in the past two years- the best in Wittenberg`s 164 year history!
For over twenty years, Bob Swaney has established himself as a leader in achieving superior Annual Fund revenue results for arts organizations. After serving as a staff member in progressive fundraising positions with various major symphony orchestras, Mr. Swaney retired from arts management in 2006 to launch his own consulting firm. For the Civic Orchestra of Chicago (the Chicago Symphony`s training orchestra), Bob launched an annual fundraising startup program that grew to nearly $800,000 in two years. In St. Louis, Bob doubled the Annual Fund of the St. Louis Symphony from $4.6M to $7.2M in five years. And while in Indianapolis, Bob had three consecutive record-breaking years in the annual fund of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Bob’s innovative work has been featured in “The Chronicle of Philanthropy,” and he frequently speaks at regional and national conferences.

The Summit will take place at the Tangeman University Center, which is located on the University of Cincinnati West Campus. The Tangeman Center is easy to reach by public or private transportation. Public Transportation:
Public bus transportation is provided in Cincinnati by GO METRO Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA). Metro Bus Routes 17, 18 & 19 from Downtown stop at the Main Gate of the Univeristy. The Metro stop at the Main Gate is at the intersection of Clifton and Calhoun. It is a five minute walk from the stop to the Tangeman Center. To get to the Tangeman Center from the Metro Stop, go up the hill past the guard’s hut, to where the hill crests, this is University Plaza. Directly in front of the plaza is the home of the president, University Pavilion. If you walk around this building to the opposite side, you will come to a Quad area. If you look diagonally to your right, you will see Tangeman University Center.
Directions By Car:
Visitor parking is available in three garages near the Tangeman Center on West Campus: CCM Garage, Varsity Village Garage, and Clifton Court Garage. All University Garages have an automated Pay In Lane (PIL) attendant. This machine will be in your lane as you exit the garage. It accepts cash, change and major credit cards (visa, amex, mc & discover). Surface parking lots are for permit parking only. The CCM Garage is the closest parking garage to the Tangeman Center. Our unique one-on-one mentoring sessions offer you the opportunity to sit down with an experienced fundraising professional for 30 minutes to discuss any questions that are specific to your organization. Mentoring sessions cover the same topics as the seminars, and we will assign you a mentor based on his/her availability at your requested times.
Mentoring sessions are available for the cost of $60.00 per session. If you register for a full Summit pass, 2 mentoring sessions are included in the pass.
