Marvel has developed excellent relationships with grantmakers including the Fine Arts Fund over the last 11 years. She is a Post-Corbett Award Finalist, and has over 12 years experience leading her company to new levels of revenue attainment, community involvement and impact, and artistic excellence. Marvel has developed multiyear relationships with foundations for grants totaling over $200,000. She has also developed great relationships with PNC Bank Charitable Committee and Fifth Third Bank Foundation Office. She serves the Fine Arts Fund BVA Committee, and Leadership Cincinnati Class XXXII. She is a NAMP Certified Arts Marketer, and is listed in Who’s Who for Dance, Business and Professional Women, and Black Cincinnati and International. Marvel has a BA in English from Northwestern University.
C. PETE has worked with not-for-profits for the past 33 years. She was executive director of two Wisconsin area Community Foundations from 1990 - 2002. In Ohio, Connecticut and Wisconsin, she worked as a consultant with a variety of not-for-profit organizations in board management, finance, asset development and program development. She also started a small business in personal organizing and estate liquidation. C. Pete earned a Master of Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati.
Francie has been working with grants since the 1980’s. Currently she is the grant proposal writer and the project grantee of SC Ministry Foundation for Capacity Building Workshops. Francie has had great success with grantmakers and believes this is from researching good fits for grants, anticipating problems, working collaboratively, and meeting deadlines. Francie was awarded grant funding to establish a hospital system employees` computer lab in Ann Arbor. At Duke she organized several Friends Of Nursing fundraising Galas. Francie completed two terms as President of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization. She currently serves on MedCom’s Advisory board and InterAct for Change Scholarship Committee. Francie has her BSN from the University of Cincinnati and received an MSN Psychiatric Nursing with a minor in Business Admin UC.

Public Transportation:
Public bus transportation is provided in Cincinnati by GO METRO Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA). Metro Bus Routes 17, 18 & 19 from Downtown stop at the Main Gate of the Univeristy. The Metro stop at the Main Gate is at the intersection of Clifton and Calhoun. It is a five minute walk from the stop to the Tangeman Center. To get to the Tangeman Center from the Metro Stop, go up the hill past the guard’s hut, to where the hill crests, this is University Plaza. Directly in front of the plaza is the home of the president, University Pavilion. If you walk around this building to the opposite side, you will come to a Quad area. If you look diagonally to your right, you will see Tangeman University Center.
Directions By Car:
Visitor parking is available in three garages near the Tangeman Center on West Campus: CCM Garage, Varsity Village Garage, and Clifton Court Garage. All University Garages have an automated Pay In Lane (PIL) attendant. This machine will be in your lane as you exit the garage. It accepts cash, change and major credit cards (visa, amex, mc & discover). Surface parking lots are for permit parking only. The CCM Garage is the closest parking garage to the Tangeman Center. Our unique one-on-one mentoring sessions offer you the opportunity to sit down with an experienced fundraising professional for 30 minutes to discuss any questions that are specific to your organization. Mentoring sessions cover the same topics as the seminars, and we will assign you a mentor based on his/her availability at your requested times.
Mentoring sessions are available for the cost of $60.00 per session. If you register for a full Summit pass, 2 mentoring sessions are included in the pass.
