With a background that includes experience in both for-profit and not-for profit sectors, Dyana creates and implements communications programs for industries including education; career development; arts and entertainment; urban planning and development; and professional services. Dyana is on the board of Leadership Illinois, a group providing training and networking for women who have excelled in their field and/or the civic community. She has served as executive vice president on the board of directors for the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation and belongs to many organizations including the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits. She holds a BS in Mass Communications from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University in Chicago, from which she graduated with honors.
As a former television news reporter, Tony saw the good and not-so-good public relations efforts made by nonprofits. Now he brings his thirteen years of journalism experience to the nonprofit organizations he works with. Tony`s commitment to excellence, strong understanding of what viewers want, and unique approach to the process of creating videos have rendered him an expert in new and unique ways to market ones message. Tony is the recipient of 3 Emmy Awards, 4 Telly Awards, 4 Int’l. Davey Awards, and 5 Associated Press Awards. Tony graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
Over the past 30 years of agency-based experience, Deborah`s professional relationships range from Fortune 100 corporations to nonprofit organizations. Prior to establishing DGH Communications, Deborah managed the media relations efforts for the Chicago based Lipman Hearne, Inc., one of the largest marketing communications firms in the United States dedicated to the nonprofit sector. Deborah`s clients regularly find themselves interviewed and quoted in newspapers, journals, radio, television, and on the internet. Clients of DGH Communications recently have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, National Public Radio, WTTW-TV, trade journals, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Crain`s Chicago Business. Deborah is on the Board of Directors for the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits and a member of the Visiting Committee for the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in Journalism.
The seminar will be taking place at the University Center Conference Center Chicago, which is located in the heart of Downtown Chicago, at State Street and Congress Parkway. Cabs are continually on call if you have to get back to the office quickly. Parking is nearby, abundant and inexpensive.

The Red Line stop is at the corner of Harrison and State which is across the street from the building. Driving Directions: From the Southwest (I-55 Stevenson Expressway) Proceed east to the end of I-55 to North Lake Shore Drive. Continue north (towards downtown) on Lake Shore Drive to Balbo Street. Turn left on Balbo to State Street; turn right on State Street. Continue one block. University Center will be on your right between Harrison Street and Congress Parkway.
From the South (I-57 to I-94 Dan Ryan Expressway) Exit at Congress Parkway. Drive east towards downtown to State Street. Turn right on State Street. University Center will be on your left between Congress Parkway and Harrison Street.
