Blogging 101 - Figuring out whether blogging is worth the time and effort

Like most nonprofits, you’re probably constantly looking for ways to increase your exposure, connect with new supporters, and continue to promote to your existing ones. One of the easiest ways to provide regularly updated information to your audiences is blogging and that's why nonprofits small and large have created blogs. This seminar will help you understand blogging, how it fits into your PR campaign, and how you can increase its effectiveness by combining it with other communications tools such as email.

In this session we will cover the following:
•       How to Choose a Blogging Service, and naming your blog
•       Choosing the right template for your blog
•       Composing your first posts
•       Driving traffic to your blog
•       Using your blog to position yourself as an authority in your chosen area

Participants will walk away from this session with a clear idea on how and why to start a blog as well as the maintenance involved.

This session is intended for Board Members, Executives, Senior Staff and Marketing/PR Managers.
