Video production was once considered the exclusive domain of professionals, but now that’s all changed. Video is evolving into the fastest growing content on the web, and many nonprofit are jumping onto the video band wagon because of the ease with which video content can be shared, discussed, tagged and rated. When it comes to video, YouTube is a great way for your nonprofit to share its story and get found on the internet.

In this session we will cover the following:
•            Getting started with YouTube, and creating a video within your budget
•            Using viral marketing to find viewers for your video
•            Using YouTube for search engine optimization
•            Using YouTube’s nonprofit channel to tell your organization’s story

Participants will walk away knowing how to use YouTube’s in new and exciting ways that connects with supporters, volunteers, and donors.

Lisa Hoffmann
Director of Communications & Marketing
Little City Foundation

Lisa has been involved in communications and marketing for six years. In her current position, Lisa oversees content on the organization's YouTube channel, edits and co-produces video content for YouTube, attracts videographers to donate pro-bono work, and creates distribution plans for the video content. To date, the Little City YouTube channel has generated 4,234 channel views and 10,137 upload views. Previously, as Communications Director at the International Engineering Consortium, Lisa was resonsible for creating and collecting industry content for video production on an online portal with a reach of 700,000 professionals around the globe. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Arts in Communications (with a specialization in PR) from Rowan University. She is a member of Public Relations Society of America and the Publicity Club of Chicago.
