Speakers for this session:

Christie Baskett, CFRE
Director of Development
The Putney School

Christie Baskett has 22 years experience in development, working for educational and cultural organizations. As Director of Development, she is currently managing a $7 million capital campaign at The Putney School in Vermont; she ran four successful capital or major gift campaigns as Chief Advancement Officer at Greenhill School; she served as Director of Major Gifts and then Director of Development for KERA/KDTN (public radio/television); and she started a development office and ran the first capital campaign for the Dallas Museum of Natural History. Christie is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has served on both chapter boards and national committees. She has been a speaker for the CFRE Review Course, Boston Fundraising Summit, Southwest Fund Raising Symposium, CASE/NAIS Conference, and Community Board Institute. Christie holds an MBA and Masters of Arts Administration from SMU and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

Hillel Korin

Korin Development Associates

Hillel Korin has a distinguished professional background in fund development and consulting with more than 35 years of financial resource development experience. As VP of Development at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, he regularly solicited major gifts in the 100k+ category. As an AVP at Brandeis University he served as the University`s principal gifts officer managing a portfolio of donors of 500k and up. Hillel received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 1972 . He received his graduate education at the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, School of Jewish Communal Service. He was awarded an honorary degree by HUC in 2001. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.

Susan Palmer
President
The Palmer Westport Group

As President of the Palmer Westport Group, Susan works with non-profit organizations to raise major gifts for Capital Campaigns, Annual Funds, and Special Projects. Prior to forming the Palmer Westport Group, Susan was Executive Director of The Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield, MA, co-founder of the Tony-award winning Barrington Stage Company, and managing director of Berkshire Theatre Festival. She has also served as Director of Major Gifts at WGBY Public Broadcasting. Susan has been guest faculty of the Association for Performing Arts Presenters focusing on major gifts, and has been a program presenter on leadership gifts for capital campaigns at the League of Historic American Theaters at their national conferences in Boston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.
