The NGP launched in 2004 as a pilot program designed to encourage the next generations of the Johnson family to participate in the family traditions of charitable giving, stewardship, and civic involvement. The project is tailor-made to further these goals by encouraging young family members (ages 12-25) to seek out community needs and offer gifts of time and treasure to support them. Upon completing certain NGP requirements, The Foundation offers matching grants to these organizations, supporting the interests of its young members by allowing them to participate in the grant making process at an early age.
